Union Station and Aloe Plaza

When leaving the St. Louis Arch complex, head west on Market Street (the Gateway Mall) until you reach Union Station and the Aloe Plaza.

Union Station has been converted into a tourist attraction but still provides train service and great restaurants.

The sculptures of Aloe Plaza represent the meeting of the Missouri and Mississippi waters.

Point and click on the small Aloe Plaza for a close-up and more information.

After leaving Aloe Plaza, head south to reach I-44 and go west.

There is much more to see in St. Louis but that is for another day. If you have time, visit the St. Louis Zoo, Art Museum, Museum of Science and Forest Park.

Everyone has been to the old Corral Court Motel so I am going to avoid that and pick-up the trail in Cuba Missouri. Follow I-44 west to Allentown, Missouri and than travel west on Old Route 66. You can travel the old highway to St James, Missouri. Much remains the same as you travel through Pacific, pass the old Diamonds Restaurant, St. Clair, Stanton and Meramec Caverns, Sullivan and Jesse James, Bourbon and the Water Mill.
